Privacy Policy for Smart Access for Dropbox

Effective Date: July 3, 2026
Contact: contact@atvra.com

Thank you for choosing Smart Access for Dropbox, developed by Atvra Ltd. ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy applies to atvra.com (the "Website") and Smart Access for Dropbox (the "App") (collectively, the "Service"). We want to clarify that the App does not directly gather personal information from its users.

However, Dropbox services integrated with the Service may collect data according to their own privacy practices.

By using the Service, you acknowledge the information practices described in this policy. For questions, please contact us at contact@atvra.com.

Information Collection and Use

The App itself does not collect, store, or share any personal information of its users.

However, the App uses Dropbox sign-in and the Dropbox API to provide certain functionalities. While the App does not directly collect personal information through these services, Dropbox may collect information according to its own privacy practices.

Users are encouraged to review Dropbox's Privacy Policy to understand how Dropbox collects and uses information within its own services.

Data Protection Mechanisms

The Service is designed so that its core Dropbox workflows run locally on your device. This approach ensures a high level of security and privacy for your sensitive information, especially those accessed through Dropbox services.

Data Security: Dropbox sign-in and Dropbox API requests are transmitted using encrypted connections. The Service processes your data directly on your device without collecting or storing any personal information, leveraging your device's existing security features. Though we do not store your data, we advise keeping your device's software updated and using reputable security software for enhanced protection.

User Control: You have full control over your data processed by the Service, with the ability to manage, delete, or restrict access directly from your device.

Use of Dropbox User Data

The Service requests access to Dropbox user data only after you explicitly grant permission through Dropbox's authorization flow. We use Dropbox user data only to provide user-facing features that are available through the Service.

Dropbox user data received by the Service is used only to:

  • Identify and manage the Dropbox account you connected.
  • Display and organize Dropbox files and folders you choose to work with.
  • Preview, rename, move, share, open, and download files when you request those actions.

Consent and Revocation: Users are prompted to grant consent for data access through Dropbox's authorization flow, with clear information about the specific permissions being requested. Consent can be withdrawn at any time through the permissions and account controls provided by Dropbox or by removing the connected account from the Service.

No Unauthorized Sharing: Data accessed from Dropbox is not shared by the Service with third parties and is used only to provide the features you request through the App.

The use of information received through Dropbox APIs is subject to the Dropbox Developer Terms and Conditions.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service providers the Service uses are Dropbox, for Dropbox sign-in and Dropbox integration, and Apple, for Mac App Store distribution.

These services may collect and process information according to their own terms, privacy policies, and account controls. Atvra does not control how those third parties process information within their own services.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, the Service does not hold data that would enable us to directly address individual data subject rights under the GDPR or other privacy laws. For inquiries or requests about your data collected by Dropbox services, please refer to the Dropbox Privacy Policy and Dropbox's support resources.

Website Information Collection Practices

The Website is informational only. You cannot sign in, connect a Dropbox account, or run Dropbox workflows through the Website itself.

Website Analytics: The Website uses a limited self-hosted analytics script to send a basic ping for website activity, such as page views and download clicks. IP addresses are anonymized promptly, and this website analytics is separate from Dropbox APIs and is not used to access, collect, or share Dropbox user data.

Website Visitors: For visitors to the Website, we do not collect personal information unless it is voluntarily provided, for example by contacting us by email. Any information provided in such a manner will be used solely for the purpose stated at the point of collection, such as responding to your query.

Third-Party Links: The Website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those external sites, and users should review the privacy policies of any sites they choose to visit.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page.
